Meet the Staff
Ms. Kayla, Co-Director
Hello Families! I am happy to serve you as one of YLA's Co-Directors and am so excited to be able to offer my dream preschool program to all of you! My husband and I have three boys (Connor (15), Liam (10), Luke (3)), our little girl Delaney (1), two rescue doggies, and now my newest baby, Young Learners Academy! I am the most extroverted extrovert that probably ever existed. I love/depend on a big iced coffee each day, love a day at the beach, love cooking for our big family dinner nights, and love a good book at the end of the night! I chose to study Early Childhood Education in college and absolutely love working with children and their families. This passion of mine has been my foundation for running youth ministry, afterschool programs, and preschools over the last 10 years!

Ms. Sara, 3's Teacher
Hello Families! I am the 3’s teacher and I love Early Childhood Education! Watching the children progress throughout the year inspires me daily! I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Education from CSU Sacramento with a minor in Deaf Studies, where I became fluent in Sign Language. When I am not here with the children, I am going on adventures with my husband. We love to dance, hike, and go on bike rides. I also play the Cello!

I got my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State. I love Disney movies and cannot decide if Mulan, Little Mermaid, or Turning Red is my favorite. In my free time, you can find me knitting, painting, or singing.

Ms. Marsela, 2's Teacher
I am loving working with 2’s program! My daughter Quinn is in the 4’s program and I am so excited about my new role at YLA. I have studied early childhood education throughout high school and college. I also graduated in medical assisting and phlebotomy! I love being a hands-on teacher and watching the growth of the students. This is such a fun age to teach! My experience in early education has ranged from being a nanny, an instructor at the company My Gym, and a caregiver at home daycare, and I have most recently supervised family programming and various camps at Bay Club. I love to be outside and spend time with family and we love football. I am looking forward to building some special memories here at Young Learners Academy!

Ms. Cece, Teacher Assistant/Floater
Hello Families! I am the Floating Teaching Assistant here at YLA and I get the pleasure of spending time with all of the classes. I love the excitement that children bring to each day and I enjoy getting to support the teachers and parents. As a mom of 4 grown children and 4 grandkids (plus one on the way!), I know how much it means to have a helping hand. I love being able to aid the teaching staff so they are all able to give their very best to your students. Some of my hobbies are cleaning, watching Korean dramas, and cooking. I also love QVC!
