I am happy to serve you as one of YLA's Co-Directors and be the 2’s Teacher. I am so excited to be able to offer my dream preschool program to all of you! My husband and I have three boys (Connor (16), Liam (11), Luke (4)), our little girl Delaney (2), two rescue doggies, and now my newest baby, Young Learners Academy! I am the most extroverted extrovert that probably ever existed. I love/depend on a big iced coffee each day, love a day at the beach, love cooking for our big family dinner nights, and love a good book at the end of the night! I chose to study Early Childhood Education in college and absolutely love working with children and their families. This passion of mine has been my foundation for running youth ministry, afterschool programs, and preschools over the last 10 years!
I am so excited to teach Pre-K Prep and be one of your Co-Directors! I have a big heart for working with children and have really loved building a program that sets us apart from the average preschool. My passion for early childhood education is best shown through those fun little projects I get to plan, prep and execute with your students. It makes me so proud to see each student grow and my favorite part of teaching is finding new and exciting activities for the children. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and concerts with my husband. We have 3 kids Madison (15), Emilie (5), and the best pup Dougie! As a family, we love hiking and going to the beach. I have my B.S. in Child and Adolescent Development and M.S. in Education.
I am extremely excited to be teaching at YLA! I am a mom to a wonderful 9-year-old daughter (Emily) and had the privilege of staying home with her for the first 4 years of her life. My previous work experience (and passion) is in Early Childhood Education. I studied ECE at Los Positas College and most recently, I have worked with Special Needs Preschool Students. It truly is the most rewarding job in the world to work with this age and introduce them to early education. In my free time, I volunteer in the community and love spending as much time with my daughter as possible.
I am so excited to be teaching Pre K. I have previously worked at McFall Preschool in the autism class for 2 years and separately worked with Manteca unified school district for 13 years. I started my post-high school education at Modesto Junior College and I am currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree online at the University of Phoenix. I am a mother of two children, Brooklyn (age 12) and Brody (age 9). In addition to being a mom, my hobbies include crafts and baking.
Hello Families! I am the 3’s teacher and I love Early Childhood Education! Watching the children progress throughout the year inspires me daily! I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Education from CSU Sacramento with a minor in Deaf Studies, where I became fluent in Sign Language. When I am not here with the children, I am going on adventures with my husband. We love to dance, hike, and go on bike rides. I also play the Cello!
Lauren Teacher Assistant/Floater, Stay and Play Lead
I am loving working at YLA! In the AM, I am the Teaching Assistant/Floater for extra support in the 2’s classes, and in the PM I lead the Stay and Play Program. I am currently studying early childhood education and love watching the growth of students. My experience in early education has ranged from babysitting to tutoring to being a caregiver at home daycare. I love to be outside and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to building some special memories here at Young Learners Academy!
Hi Everyone! I am a Teaching Assistant/Floater for extra support in all our classes. I am the mom of 2 boys Ryder (9) and Parker (11) and have worked with children over the last 18 years in different capacities. I love camping, watching my boys play sports and kitchen dance parties. Chips and salsa are my love language along with caffeine! I studied Child Development at CSU East Bay and always knew this was the field for me!
Hello Families! I am the Floating Teaching Assistant here at YLA and I get the pleasure of spending time with all of the classes. I love the excitement that children bring to each day and I enjoy getting to support the teachers and parents. As a mom of 4 grown children and 4 grandkids (plus one on the way!), I know how much it means to have a helping hand. I love being able to aid the teaching staff so they are all able to give their very best to your students. Some of my hobbies are cleaning, watching Korean dramas, and cooking. I also love QVC!
It's an honor to have the opportunity to work with the team at YLA! In the last 15 years, I have worked primarily with children in educational and clinical settings ranging from newborns to 18 years old. Having graduated from the University of California Davis in Human Development and Psychology, my first job position after college was actually a preschool teacher assistant at a Montessori school. I often think back to those days with fondness and I believe it's one of the reasons I continually found myself working with children. As it feels like I've come full circle, I'm excited to work with the young scholars and the team at YLA! I'm looking forward to all the potential growth I get to witness in the students, the staff, and myself. I'm a passionate person who loves to learn, write, teach, and counsel. I'm a big kid at heart as well as an old soul. As somebody who loves to work with her hands, I'm currently obsessed with miniature crafting. I've been married for 5 years and have a furbaby, and a Shih Tzu dog (2) named Yumi.
